World Peace Shrine

This beautiful shrine near Shibu Onsen overlooks the small valley at the bottom of the mountains. Shinto is the biggest religion in Japan but it has a healthy proportion of Buddhist temples, some over a 1000 years old. The World Peace shrine is a must see if you are around Nagano!
