Portrait of a Thinking Monkey

The beautiful Snow Monkeys of Shiga Kogen in the Nagano prefecture. I was up early around 5:30am in -2 degree snow to venture the 2km up the mountain to "hopefully" catch a glimpse of the famous snow monkeys. It was worth the cold and hike! You can see the snow flakes falling behind the monkey as he sits and contemplates his day.
